The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, together with the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, the President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, and the Municipal Chief Executive for Ho, Hon. Stephen Adom, on Thursday visited the Ho Sports Stadium to observe the ongoing Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise.
More than 4,000 applicants are undergoing body selection and documentation as part of the nationwide enlistment process.
The high-level delegation toured the various inspection points, interacted with applicants, and assessed the conduct of the exercise to ensure transparency, fairness, and smooth administration.
Hon. Gunu encouraged applicants to remain calm and confident, assuring them that the recruitment process remains strictly fair and transparent.
Togbe Afede XIV commended the Ghana Armed Forces for what he described as an orderly and humane exercise, and urged applicants to maintain discipline throughout the process. He also reiterated plans to expand job opportunities in the region, including through the establishment of a new pilot training school.
The President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, advised the youth not to lose hope if they are not selected, stressing that more opportunities will emerge for their growth and development.
The exercise is expected to continue in the coming days.
